About HSBC Global Research
HSBC Global Research is an independent research house with a strong focus on Emerging Markets (EMs).
We have 350 analysts covering 1,900 companies globally. Our analysts, based out of 24 countries, are spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa.
With a particular focus on EMs, as well as environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, we provide regular comment and analysis on topics including economics, currencies, fixed income and equities.

HSBC Global Research, Guangzhou
As a member of the Global Research team in Guangzhou, you will be working with the HSBC’s Economics team in Hong Kong
? Partner with the on-shore Economics team to support research operations
? Compile / Maintain databases and forecast files
? Develop and maintain statistical models to forecast economic variables such as inflation, GDP, trade, etc.
? Writing research reports and notes on Asian economies along with country senior economists as required
? Actively collaborating with researchers from other asset classes to maintain consistency of forecasts
任职要求
? Intermediate to advanced excel skills and familiarity with statistical packages such as Eviews, SPSS or STATA
? Masters in Economics from a reputed university
? 0-2 years of experience in macro-economic research
? A strong understanding of macroeconomic concepts and financial markets. Analytical reasoning
? Excellent written & verbal communication / presentation skills
? Ability to both work in both a team environment and autonomously
? Ability to operate under pressure, multi-task, and be driven
? Extremely meticulous and organized
? Proficient in written and spoken English and Mandarin/Cantonese
? Hands on experience in creating statistical models will be an added plus
